Frequently Asked Questions
If you have a question, maybe it's answered here?
What do you sell?
We sell a fall detector aimed solidly at the senior communities market. Our device looks like a little electronic picture frame. It just hangs quietly on the wall monitoring a room until someone falls, then it asks you if you are ok, and if you don't answer, it calls a pre-programmed series of phone numbers until someone picks up, and joins the resident into a hands-free call. In an assisted-living community, or in a hospital setting, it can also send an alert to a central dashboard, for example at a nursing station.
Is yours better than other fall detectors?
Yes, in many ways. The others use an accelerometer or video. Ours uses scanning radar, making it more private than video, and more accurate than accelerometers. Ours also is better for seniors, because there's nothing to remember and nothing to wear - it simply and continuously monitors 24/7. Seniors often dislike fall-detecting pendants like Life-Alert because they have a stigma, and seniors are often adverse to having to remember to wear it, or a watch or carry a phone - they just want to be themselves. With our tech, they can be free of having to carry or wear any devices which can make them feel self-conscious or less comfortable.
Is your fall detector as accurate as the competition?
At 97% accuracy, ours is the most accurate and reliable. Pendants, watches and phones are 14% to 84% accurate, and you have to be carrying it at the time you fall. Ours will see you fall without you having to carry or wear anything - that's pretty important, especially to someone who is forgetful. And with theirs you have to fall hard and fast, Ours will detect a fall even if you gently glide to the floor, which sometimes happens if you realize you are losing consciousness, getting weak, and you are trying -not- to fall and hurt yourself!
What stage is your company at?
We are a start-up in our first year with a breakthrough now-in-retail product that is proving to be in high demand right out of the gate. We have a pilot senior community and we will be generating revenue by Q3. With the additional customers we are currently signing we expect to be revenue-positive by Q2 or Q3 next year.
How many customers do you have?
We have a pilot senior community in beta into which we are installing our devices. After their initial trial period ends in August, we have agreement to fully outfit all 600 of their suites by Q3/Q4 this year. We are also in the process of signing new deals with other customers who want to schedule an installation this year as well.
Are you looking for partners?
Yes! We have a big-picture plan to provide many more ground-breaking devices and technology into communities, hospitals and homes within a fairly short time frame, so if you have a health-and-wellness product or service in development or are ready to go to market, then by all means contact us!
